I’m still reflecting on what was truly a powerful and uplifting experience—our 2nd Education and Careers Fair, which took place over the weekend and exceeded expectations, leaving a lasting impact on everyone who attended.

A Weekend of Purpose and Inspiration

The weekend began with a special church service on Saturday, led by Pastor Dusanka Rancic, the Stanborough Editor-in-Chief, as our preacher. His message set a strong and encouraging tone, reminding everyone of the importance of vision, purpose, and investing in the next generation.

Later that afternoon, we hosted an AI workshop with Ray Patric from Adventist Radio London, which I had the privilege of co-hosting. The session gave young people practical insights into how technology, creativity, and innovation can be used to shape their learning and future careers. It was exciting to see their curiosity, questions, and enthusiasm for exploring AI in meaningful ways.

A Truly Inspirational Keynote

One of the highlights of the weekend was the keynote address delivered by Yolanda Brown. Her presence, passion, and authenticity were nothing short of inspiring.

Yolanda spoke with honesty and warmth about identity, resilience, excellence, and staying true to your purpose. Her message resonated deeply with both young people and adults alike. She reminded us that success is not just about talent, but about perseverance, discipline, and believing in yourself even when the journey isn’t clear.

There were moments of laughter, reflection, and encouragement—and many young people left feeling seen, motivated, and empowered.

More Than a Fair – A Purposeful Experience

This event was not just about careers; it was about possibilities.

Attendees engaged with a wide range of exhibitors, professionals, and organisations representing education, training, entrepreneurship, and public services. The conversations throughout the day were rich, honest, and forward-looking:

  • Young people asked questions
  • Parents gained clarity
  • Connections were formed
  • Vision was sparked

That is exactly what this fair was designed to do.

A Community Effort

The success of the weekend was made possible by the collective effort of so many individuals and organisations. From volunteers and exhibitors to speakers and supporters, everyone played a role in creating an environment that was welcoming, informative, and inspiring.

I am especially grateful to those who believe in the importance of investing time, energy, and resources into the next generation.

Looking Ahead with Gratitude

Hosting our second Education and Careers Fair has reaffirmed why this work matters so much. When young people are exposed to positive role models, practical guidance, and inspiring stories, something powerful happens—they begin to believe, “this could be for me too.”

This weekend has encouraged us to think even bigger about what’s possible for future fairs and initiatives. The journey continues, and the vision remains clear: to help children and young people discover purpose, build confidence, and step boldly into their future.

Thank you to everyone who attended, supported, and contributed. This was truly a weekend to remember—and only the beginning.
