I had the privilege of leading an AI in Education workshop for primary school teachers and staff recently—a session designed to explore how artificial intelligence can transform teaching, learning, and school operations.
The workshop was engaging and hands-on, giving participants practical strategies for integrating AI tools into the classroom while keeping creativity, pedagogy, and safeguarding at the forefront. We explored ways AI can help with lesson planning, personalised learning, assessment, and even saving time on administrative tasks—allowing
teachers to focus on what matters most: their students.
It was inspiring to see the curiosity and enthusiasm of staff as they discovered how AI can support both teaching and leadership. We discussed real-life classroom scenarios, experimented with tools, and reflected on best practices for using AI responsibly in education.
The session also included opportunities for collaborative problem-solving, as participants shared ideas and experiences from their own schools. It was a reminder that innovation thrives when educators are empowered, supported, and given the right tools to experiment and grow.
Workshops like this reaffirm why I’m passionate about preparing schools, teachers, and students for the future. AI isn’t just a trend—it’s a tool to enhance learning, build creativity, and unlock potential. I look forward to supporting more educators in this exciting journey of digital transformation.
